The white cat was back in the garden this evening. He's obviously been reading this blog and found out where the wood mice play. They'd been on the feeder earlier in the evening, and were back again later. So this little sequence doesn't have a gory ending. Just a cat in a tree, doing what cats do… He was up there for the better part of two hours! Cats are patient creatures when they want to be.
I may move the feeder further out on a limb 😉

30 Sep 2007I can imagine that shooting a white cat in poor light must make for some tricky photography…

30 Sep 2007The main problem is eye shine (lots of blue and green eyes). I kept the flash marked down several notches and shone a torch at the feeder to compensate a bit 😉

2 Oct 2007Mark – spot on. The mouse isn't likely to not notice him up there though!

13 Oct 2007I'd certainly think about moving the feeder, or reinforcing it's hanger. It looks like your next shot will be of the cat hanging off the side.

13 Oct 2007Very possibly. So far though, I don't think it's caught anything up there. I can't be certain though, but fortuantely it's not too frequent a visitor. We get little bursts of the cat visiting. He's somewhat unmissable with that coat!
