Not the garden pond though. A much larger pond in Falmer Village. I'd been meaning to make a visit and was hoping that the ducklings would be around by now, but no luck on that count. The ducks were on good form though. The first shot is a mallard, but I've not yet identified what the second one is.
The gulls were enjoying the water.
As ever I took far too many shots and haven't yet had time to sort through them all, but it made a nice change from my usual routine. As well as the ducks and gulls, there were geese, coots and moorhens. And plenty of young rabbits, though they tended to scurry off into the undergrowth if I approached within about 50 yards of them.
As for the foxes, I did manage a momentary glimpse of the nicked-ear vixen this evening. She's the stealthiest of all the foxes and has a knack of passing through the garden unseen. It was a slight sound as she was leaving via a fence that gave her away, but even then she was gone long before I could attempt a photo.
I did manage a photo of the old dog fox though.
Ok, here's a rather better one, just to prove it really is him. Good to see the old fellow back 😀

11 Apr 2008Hmm, hope so. I can't see anything at the moment. I presume this only affects photos uploaded to Opera? My zenfolio photos are displaying normally (at the moment- fingers crossed!).

Yes, I've seen a few hybrid ducks on the nearest big pond here, too.
