Yesterday I posted that the young fox had developed a limp in his left rear leg. Scrap that. Tonight he was holding his right fore-leg and emulating a bunny as he more or less hopped around on three legs. I've no idea what he's getting up to that's causing so many minor injuries, but he really should learn to take better care of himself. I do worry for him. Limping across the garden
I've been scouring through tonight's photos to see if I can spot a wound. The front of the leg looks fine apart from a small nick (which I doubt can be the cause). And he did put the foot down when he was standing, though I don't think he was putting his full weight on it. When he moved he held it quite high, even when running. You may be able to see a slight nick on his right leg in this shot.
The only near shot of the rear of the leg is this next one. There does seem to be some sort of swelling above the pad, but it's difficult to see quite what is going on, and I've not had any luck enlarging the picture (it is simply too grainy in the original). I'll try and keep an eye on him, but he seems to be coping ok for the moment.
On a different note, the My Opera community is participating in Blog Action Day. The event takes place next week (15th October) and is encouraging bloggers to write on an environmental theme. Spread the word!

11 Oct 2007Oh dear, he seems a bit of a walking accident zone. Perhaps this time he just jumped off the shed roof and landed awkwardly?
Thanks for letting us know about the Blog Action Day 🙂
