Having found his wings, the young gull decided to put them to use. I can only hope it was a slow glide (though a rapid descent can't be excluded). Anyway, yesterday morning he was down on a lower part of the roof. Here he is this morning… still considering his predicament.

And a close-up 😉

  6. Ahhh … his first little adventure.

  7. Awww… I didn't mean to get anyone worried. His parents are still looking after him fine, and he's found a nice drainage pipe for shelter. He's just a bit separated from his sibling. This was also taken on Tuesday:

  11. That's good to hear!

  12. Glad to have put everyone's mind at rest. I have to admit to be astonished that they don't stumble off in the wrong direction, but the adults are great and incredibly watchful. I'll be relieved though when they can fly!

  14. Great story with such a happy ending!

  15. It's only a 6-8 foot drop on that side. Unlike the other direction which would have been rather more tricky (30-40 foot).
