In recent weeks, it's become a case of watch, wait and often miss the nicked-ear vixen as she passes through the garden. So it was somewhat unexpected when I went outside this evening and saw her nestled comfortably in the rickety pergola at the far end of the garden. This is most unlike her, as indeed was her tolerance as I approached up the garden. The photos are mainly taken at the long end of the zoom. After all, if she is going to make herself at home here the last thing I want to do is disturb her.
Camera note: all shots taken with the EF70-300mm 4.5-5.6 DO IS lens.

19 Oct 2008Mark, I certainly hope so. She's been somewhat erratic this past week, but she's still around and I think she going to stay put over winter. You can never quite be sure though.
