A very brief sighting of the nicked-ear vixen tonight. Given her evident success at hunting I'm not too surprised that we've seen slightly less of her in this garden lately.

  1. You've got to hand it to her… she's good!

  2. WOW! She posed for you. Fantastic photo and really lovely garden. 🙂

  3. Wouldn't be Halloween without a bit of gore. 😀

  4. :chef: Quite the hunter! :p

  5. Mick, how true. We had lots of kids knocking at the door tonight. I'm not sure they've got the hang of looking scary…. they were all smiles in their anxiety to get treats!

  6. Cynthia. She was showing off I reckon, and wasn't about to hang around too long in case I tried to steal her 'kill'. 😆

  7. I don't think she'll ever become hungry with her talent!

  8. 😆

  9. It's so obvious. She dropping you some hints on what she likes :p

  10. She's going to get overweight if she doesn't watch it 😉

  11. Tervicz, it doesn't work though. Here she is trying the same trick last April.

  12. Eric, she's certainly a canny one.

  13. Darko!

  14. Adele, it's a risk I guess, but as long as she can still fence hop I doubt she'll worry too much about the extra pounds.

  15. Great pictures! She's showing you her hunting trophy. 😆 Any idea what it is?

  16. Wow thats a lucky find for her. 😀 I had a couple of kids ringing my bell but was so comfy in my chair watching a documentary on TV that i didnt fancy opening the door so ignored them 😆

  17. Lois, looks like a lamb chop to me but I could be mistaken.

  18. Mark, I doubt luck has much to do with it. Someone must be buying them for her!!! Halloween is always a bit of a last minute rush, remembering the doorbell will start ringing. It usually means a quick trip to the shop to get some of those 'family pack' mini choc bars. We had a few left over though

  19. I was wondering about the prey item too- hope it's not an NZ lamb chop 😀

  20. I reckon a chunky Sussex lamb judging by the size of it. This is a sheep-farming county (really!).
