'What shall I do today?' thought the squirrel.

'I'll attack a friend, that's what to do.'

Rough and Tumble

'Now I'm a look-out'

'I could be in cowboy country up here'

A real Western landscape 😉

'I'll hide out until the posse rides by'

  1. 😆 Thats a good photo story hehe:P Very nice shots too!

  2. 😆 Great!

They really can be incredibly antisocial. I remember when I had a bird feeder right on the window years ago and squirrels feeding on it, and one time a second squirrel approached. The first made a call like an insane cat and was almost shaking with anger. I think that was the first time I realised that squirrels were the source of those strange sounds high in the trees.

  3. I've noticed those mewling noises as well. Last week I spent ages looking in a tree for which bird it might be before I realized it was the squirrel right above me. You just don't expect them to make noise.

  4. Indeed, it's a weird sound.

PS I have now amended my above comment – I evidently missed a word out on my first attempt. I would like to make it clear that the squirrels were feeding on a bird *feeder*, not on a bird :eyes:

  5. LOL!

  6. Wonderful shots and great captions.

  7. Such a great photo story. A nice entertainment for my evening. 😆
I know the noise, which a squirrel is able to do, too. I heard it the first time in the last summer: it seemed, the squirrel was really angry about me.

  8. Thanks!

  9. Great! :)g
