An Excellent Visit (fox photo special)

I hadn't picked up the camera at all today until about 11pm at night. That's leaving it late to get a daily photo, but I needn't have worried. Shutterbug the fox decided that today was going to be one of those days when he lolls around the garden happy for some company. He was out there for about half an hour, dozing, investigating, clambering up the hedge, nosing in the wood pile and generally being a very contented fox.

Here are a very few of the shots from tonight. I'll almost certainly post some more tomorrow and feature some in my regular fox of the day feature.

Wow. Just wow. Great shots. 🙂
The first one is like "Hmm? I didn't expect such a warm welcome"… the second, which is my favourite of them all, gives such a "satisfied" look it's just making me happy. He's smiling. 🙂
Third is very amusing, and I think was a very difficult shot. 🙂
Rest show the beautiful fur colors at different angles, and are really nice. The from-above one is very surprising – did he really come this close to you?
He's so fluffy in the winter fur… 🙂

Words, hurray, what a great visit! SB is looking in full fettle!

Robin, he's in great shape at the moment, and was so relaxed. The visits are spaced out at the moment, but well worth the wait when he does decide to show up.

Wojtek, thanks. It was a really good half hour. He does come very close (1 metre) and I took a lot of shots (200+) so some of them are ok 😉

That last shot isn't from above! He's standing on his hind legs to try to reach to the top of the hedge. I think he must have heard some birds nesting just above there, in the tree.

    Once again… :eyes:
Except for the Zoo, I only saw a fox "live" once… So I still wonder how you can get these fantastic shots, Words! Don't bother in explaining, I'll always be amazed… 😀

Sami, it's great when he's in this kind of mood. All the patience pays off.

Darko, it would be great if he did decide to stay here, but I think he will just visit. There's nowhere for him to dig a den!
