Continuing yesterday's theme of the farm…
I took this across a valley. I could barely make out the sheep in the distance. The shot here is a 100% crop of a small part of the whole frame. The only treatment it's had is increasing the contrast slightly and minor adjustments to brightness, finished off with my standard settings for noise reduction. Although not the usual 'sharp' image I tend to aim for, I like the impressionistic impact, and the way it shows the timelessness of agricultural work. For reference I've included the full frame shot below.
Camera note: taken with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

13 Aug 2008Lois, it was the lines that caught my attention. I could see some movement in the distance but it was only when I zoomed in (second shot) that I could begin to see what was happening. Those are some very orderly sheep!
