A little while ago I mentioned The Fox Website, a project launched by Bristol University and one of the best sites on the web for hard information about Britain's foxes. When they launched the site I provided a number of the photographs. Well the site has just been given a further – and more far reaching – plug. It's the featured article on the Daily Telegraph's Earth News on-line magazine. I'm sure you'll recognize the fox chosen to illustrate the piece.

Meanwhile, I got home today to find news that a Sussex fox has ranged as far as Folkestone. To be exact it can now be seen in the Lower Leas Coastal Park area, a classic English seaside park that has recently been restored with the aid of Lottery Heritage funding.
Lower Leas information panel for the Wild Zone

Detail

The panel is one of 16 information panels used in the restored park area. It's mounted in pulhamite, an artificial rock that dates back to the early 1800s and was used extensively in the development of the park in the 1920s. You can read more about the project over here. And if you visit Folkestone you can now see a permuted fox!

Thanks to Thomas Cann of Arc Creative Design for the Lower Leas photo.
