We had storms again early this evening. I know when they're coming because my internet connection collapses in the half hour or so before the lightning show starts. It must be the atmospheric electricity building up around the overhead phone lines. Thankfully the storm was brief, and it took the rain with it.

It's been the best part of a week since any fox activity here, so with the clearing weather I made sure to keep a good watch this evening. The pond was active (three frogs were breaking the surface), and the wind was low for once.

The frogs were active this evening

Then at around half past nine, I spotted a familiar figure out on the lawn. The dog fox was back, somewhat wet and showing a wound on his side, but otherwise as comfortable as ever, though perhaps in a slightly heightened state of alert. He stayed around for about quarter of an hour, ranging over the length of the garden.

Yay hes back, is the wound due to competition of other Foxes trying to get at his mate and he protects her from them?

Yes we had lots of wet weather, good for the garden but not good for Fox spotting:S

  2. Cool frog, and good to see the dog fox back again.
