Some days build themselves around a photographic theme… others are more of a mixed bag. Today was like that.
Sheep and poppies, taken early this morning

A pair of fledgling dunnocks

A young squirrel

A skipper (sp?) butterfly

The damselflies were as pretty as ever

And of course a fox, but a rather special fox 😉
The fox with two heads

Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 40D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens, except the fox which was taken with the EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens.

  1. The fox with two heads

    :eyes: What

  2. Lovely shots. I really like the damsels! Wonderful effect.

  3. do you send some of your photos to publishers like the RSPB and such?? if not then you should…i can very much imagine turning the page in one of their magazines and coming across photos like the damselfly one!!

  4. Mythological fox!!!

    😀

  5. Super shots! As for the two-headed fox, is that only your first sighting? Very common here.

  6. Must be twice as smart!

  7. I'm not sure I like this development. A two-headed fox could run off with both my shoes at once :yikes:

Anyway…very pretty, especially the poppies! 🙂

  8. Vulpes Vulpes, why am I not surprised that the two-headed fox is commonplace in your parts. You'll be telling me you've seen a snake next 😉

  9. Chris, I've had a few photos published over the years, but mainly in books.

  10. Robin, thanks! The pond I took the damsel shots at is just about perfect for photographing dragonflies.

  11. Mickeyjoe, an everyday sighting in these parts

  12. Lois, and twice as greedy!

  13. Adele, trust you to think of shoes! Can you imagine the mayhem though, and the headlines!
