The dreary summer weather continued today… grey skies and drizzle, barely letting up until the latter part of the afternoon. Not a day for going anywhere; but as it happens I didn't need to. The fox came to me.

As the drizzle began to relent, a familiar face appeared in the garden. Shutterbug. He looked half asleep. Mid-afternoon seems to be a semi-regular time for him, so I can only assume he has a den (or some other suitably undisturbed retreat) nearby. Our garden is on the early part of his fox's day, as he heads off in search of whatever it is foxes search for in the afternoon.

And then he was gone, out over the garage roof and into the gardens beyond.

  1. 100mm :eyes: Then the fox had to be pretty close 🙂

  2. Yaaawn 😀 You are right, he looks sleepy

  3. Erwin, thanks!

  4. Sami, even with 100mm he was too close a lot of the time. I really need around 50mm in the garden, but it depends what lens I have on the camera at the time.

  5. Darko, he was a bit more awake to night, but then he came by quite a bit later today.

  6. He's a lovely rich colour. I'm seeing a lot of foxes from the train during my return commute at the moment. They're generally dozing though.

  7. Adele, he's doing well after a rather scrawny early part of the year. You can't have many more commuting days left now. 😀

😆 I noticed the very tight compositions 😀

  9. Ten days left! 😀 I'm in Norwich this week – back in work on Monday.

  10. Adele, good for you! I bet you can't wait. Make the most of being 'demob happy' at work 😉

  11. LOL, I will try not to annoy my colleagues too much 😉

  12. Wonderful Photos
