I've been somewhat distracted over the past few days, a situation likely to persist. There have been some opportunities for photos so this is a mixed bag as a means of catching up.
January 28th…
Blackbird
And squirrel
January 29th…
Just the moon
January 30th… the fulmars and other Rottingdean birds (gulls and oystercatchers)
The last day of the month was very quiet, and best left unreported. Which brings me to today…
A gull, and the moon at soon after dawn…
A sheep in the early morning sun…
And a squirrel, deep in woodland shade…
The Bold Vixen has been spotted on the trail cam over recent nights. Her strange patches are still evident. With luck our paths will cross and I'll get some more pictures of her soon.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 40D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

2 Feb 2010What a lovely set. The 1st blackbird and fulmar in flight with the lovely soft light are highlights for me

2 Feb 2010Thanks Neil. I never get bored with the fulmars. They're such active birds, always so purposeful even when they are sitting on the front porch of their homes.

2 Feb 2010Adele, thanks. The light was atrocious at that time of day, but it was a nice combination of elements.

2 Feb 2010Darko, thanks. The blackbird was very tame, unlike the ones in the garden here.
