Day and Night

The rain continues to punctuate day and night, but so do the fox cubs 😉

This morning it was Shy Boy who showed up…

Tonight we had a trio of foxes out there.

Poppy (left) and Shy Boy…

Poppy…

Rough Ear (scratching) and Shy Boy…

And from very early this morning… two cubs, followed by one of them playing with a tiny fallen apple.

Camera note: all daytime taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100mm f/2.8L macro IS USM lens. Night shots with the EF 24-105 F4L IS USM. Video from the Bushnell Trophy Cam.

Good to see the rain isn't deterring them. I liked the mood you captured with the second shot 🙂

Chthoniid, it's great to get to see them in the day. The rain is miserable this year, but the foxes don't know any better!

He is not scratching, Shy Boy is whispering something to his ear
:sst: Does that human look suspicious to you?

Love the video! It is very noticeable how foxes the world over, when waiting to see what will happen next, immediately sit down 😉

Adele, the trail cam is serving me pretty well at the moment, though nothing quite as exotic as your deer have shown up in our garden! The foxes do indeed spend a good deal of time sitting down. 🙂
