Out in the fields early this morning, the light was poor but in the distance a shape caught my eye. What I didn't see until I processed the photo was the bird in the foreground. The photo is heavily cropped.
Deer and Pheasant
That was this morning.
This was tonight.
The bold vixen was in the garden, making a determined bid to become the laziest fox in the world…
That last shot reminds me… dentist tomorrow :insane:
Camera note: the deer was taken with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens. The vixen was photographed with the EF70-300mm 4.5-5.6 DO IS lens.

22 Oct 2009I'm sure glad she picked your house to be so lazy at! Anywhere else and she just wouldn't have been as appreciated.
Great shots.

22 Oct 2009Aaagghh…dentist :insane:
Ahem. Wonderful photos, of course. And she probably is the laziest fox in the world. Most of mine seem to be at the other end of the energy spectrum…

22 Oct 2009Adele, she is very odd in just how much time she'll spend out there. She seems to like the company more than anything but she does manage to clamber over the fences and get up on the garage roof every now and then.
