Just adding my congratulations to the Opera team on today's milestone. For me the real birthday happened when Opera Mini appeared a couple of weeks ago, but the free registration offer is a good second (even though I paid up ages ago).

So what did the birthday mean for me? Well I popped into the Party room and so it was the first time I've used the Opera IRC interface, and although I don't really have a clue as to what I was doing it worked fine. I even managed to ask a question (and get an answer from the CEO of Opera).

Words asks: Opera Mini is going down a storm with Palm and Palm-phone users. Will there be an official Palm OS release?

Jon: Words, yes we noticed 🙂 We hadn't really tested much with Palm OS devices, but I guess we have to now 🙂

So I take that as a binding guarantee that we'll get an official version… the one I'm running is already my Palm browser of choice.

Shortly after the exchange with Jon, my ISP decided to go AWOL. No connection. No support announcement. Nothing. 🙁 Rang Tech Support and was led up the garden path (unplug this, unplug your router, re-plug in the free modem (where did I put that?). Reinstall drivers. Er… I downloaded the original connection, so no CD… and how am I meant to get the drivers without a connection :faint: So even without the computer working, I ended up spending about an hour getting stressed about it. Should always know that it's best to walk away… it was obviously not a problem at my end…

Eventually got back on-line at about 8pm.

And as for the foxes… well here's tonight's pic:

  1. I come here nearly everyday to see your foxes.

    Thank you,

  2. Thanks! I like getting the foxes to pose if I can (not always easy, but a strategically placed tid-bit works wonders) so a lot of shots are as much luck as judgement… plus only about 10%-20% are usable (rest are blurs, too dark, too grainy etc).

  3. I appreciate your efforts.

PS I was at the Birthday Party too and recognized several of my Opera friends in attendance. Very informative session.

  4. Oh…. I just love these pictures so much. What an incredible honor it is that these foxes are visiting you. I always think that when an animal comes into my life, it is because I did something extra worthy to deserve the trust. I have had the privilege of raising racoons, squirrils, horses, part coyote/dog, and so on and each time I feel like it is a sacred blessing.
Your pictures are a blessing to us all.
