The hedgehogs are becoming almost as bold as the fox cubs. I think it must be that with so much other activity in the garden my presence is little more than 'background noise. A couple of them were out tonight, enjoying a peanut feast.
Of course to get anywhere the peanuts they have to run the gauntlet…

I was recently advised b the British Hedgehog Preservation Society that feeding whole peanuts to hedgehogs can be a bad move. They say that whole or half nuts can get stuck in the roof of the hedgehogs' mouth, which is clearly not a good thing for them. They advised me to use chopped or crushed nuts.
