The hedgehogs are becoming almost as bold as the fox cubs. I think it must be that with so much other activity in the garden my presence is little more than 'background noise. A couple of them were out tonight, enjoying a peanut feast.

Of course to get anywhere the peanuts they have to run the gauntlet…

They say that whole or half nuts can get stuck in the roof of the hedgehogs' mouth, which is clearly not a good thing for them. They advised me to use chopped or crushed nuts.
