Some more shots of the little egret. Possibly the same one as yesterday's… possibly not, although it was grazing along the same stretch of water. Once again the light was less than ideal, but it was windless and I was able to pick up some fine reflections.
I'm not sure what all that broken pipe work is doing there, but I liked the combination of imagery and it adds a nice dash of colour to the shot.
This one is here for the reflection.
And if you've ever wondered what they look like all fluffed up, now you know. I'm sure I've seen this one in The Muppet Show 😉
Th efinal shot today was actually taken early in the morning. It's one of two cormorants which were at Falmer pond. The light was poor, but I caught this one as it came into land. The shutter speed was down at 1/80s (ISO 1000), but the focus was reasonably sharp. It lacks the great light of some other recent shots, but for the moment it's one of my favourites.

Nice shots! 🙂
Words, think of something now 😀
I like the cormorat shot too, there is a beautiful artistic quality about it.
Darko, I was so poor at Latin at school…. 🙁 How about: avis gigantus permutare, or something like that.
Darko, thanks! I so nearly titled the post 'Big Birds' as well. 🙂
Lois, thanks. The cormorant is my favourite of these. So often the focus gets lost or camera shake intrudes, but for once most elements held together.
Adele, that would be cool!

Ok, we will see what Adele has to say 😀
The "fluffed up" picture is great 😆
Sami, Big Bird says 'Thanks!' 🙂
