The cub that came visiting yesterday, was back again (very briefly) tonight. He seems to have picked up a small wound, or else is fast developing psychic powers via an over-active third eye. He seems quite unbothered by it, and the wound looks very clean so I doubt it's anything to worry about. Possibly he picked it up in a fight, or on a protruding object.

Meanwhile I've posted more pictures in the Autumn Gallery. Also please check out some of the other albums in the Autumn Photo Network (see links in the side-bar). There are some wonderful images being collected, and it's fascinating to see how late autumn seems to be here compared to other countries. Most of our local trees are still heavy with leaf and the butterflies were still enjoying the autumn sunshine this afternoon.
On, and I've also been taking photos of the moon (lots of them). This is one of the better ones from tonight and was handheld with a shutter speed of about 1/160. I've upped the gamma slightly to show the faint halo that was surrounding it.

Hmm, kinda looks like a big oh fat tick was there. My dogs used to have ticks after going fishing and we didn't find one until about a week later when the tick was huge and above the right eye which when it was removed, there was nor fur there for a while and kinda looks like that.
It's great that the fox cubs are still visiting, I thought the dog fox would still be keeping them away but I guess he can't always monitor your yard. 😛
The moon is a great shot, now the full moon is over for about another month; I went outside to look at it Saturday or something.

11 Oct 2006It's taken me a long time to get a decent image of the moon. Normally I zoom too much and it ends up too grainy. On that one I was fairly restrained and it seems to have worked. 🙂
