The persistent rain of the day finally cleared away during this evening. I'm ever hopeful of seeing the foxes, but so far tonight they've stayed away. Instead here are a few photos of one of the garden newts. It was out hunting, taking advantage of the damp and mild conditions.

After the first shot I managed to find a better angle 😉

  1. Grass is green, newts are active = winter is over 😀

  2. Well I'm sure spring is on its way, though I expect some cold spells before we can be sure. About three years ago we had heavy snow in April, so you can never really be sure.

  3. Excellent shots! I saw some snowdrops today, but I think it's still winter in Norfolk.

  4. Adele, we had hail today, and the temperatures are back down again, but it's not really too bad if I think about last year!

  5. Ours is funnier.

  6. dW, our weather is never funny. We take it far too seriously for that
