Newt!

The persistent rain of the day finally cleared away during this evening. I'm ever hopeful of seeing the foxes, but so far tonight they've stayed away. Instead here are a few photos of one of the garden newts. It was out hunting, taking advantage of the damp and mild conditions.

After the first shot I managed to find a better angle 😉

    Well I'm sure spring is on its way, though I expect some cold spells before we can be sure. About three years ago we had heavy snow in April, so you can never really be sure.

    Adele, we had hail today, and the temperatures are back down again, but it's not really too bad if I think about last year!
