  1. Awww, so cute :awww:

  2. Awww hes such a sweet little Foxy!

  3. Very high on the awww factor! 😉

I've seen a grand total of two cubs this year. Or, one cub and a disappearing brush, to be precise.

  4. Awwwww. Great photos

  5. Mark, they're just too cute when they're like that. It seems quite a bit younger than the one I saw at work.

  6. Darko, somehow I knew it would have that effect 😀

  7. Unfortunately my circumstances at the moment mean that I cannot have a rescued litter 😥 …but I'm hoping that will change soon. We'll have to see.

The cubs I saw last week were out in the meadows. We've never had many wild cubs visit the garden, and the status of the garden group following the Chipped Vixen's death is unclear. However, I did see a young unfamiliar vixen picking up some food and carrying it off a few nights ago, which gave me hope that she's looking after the CV's cubs, wherever they are. I'm just waiting to find out how the group will rebuild itself over time.

  8. Adele, thanks! I'm really surprised you don't get cubs… mind you, of course you do. How's the rescue work going?

  9. Thanks Neil!

  10. Oh that's a shame. I don't think I saw any cubs at all last year (I'd have to check), though the adults were frequent, until they vanished. I doubt I'll ever work out a true pattern of their behaviour, but the bold vixen clearly saw off 'nicked ear'. I suspect the old dog fox (not seen for while) may have had something to do with that. He tended to pair up with 'bold' and see nicked-ear off.

  11. I wonder if the old dog Fox is still with us or has he gone to Foxy heaven? hope hes still around. 😀

I was watching Animals of Farthing Wood on youtube, there was a Fox called Bold on that one but he died aww. Used to love that programme and still do!

Hope you catch more Foxy cubs tonight.

  12. Mark, yes I do wonder about the dog fox. I think he moved a couple of streets away some over the past couple of years, which is why he only showed up occasionally last year. It would be great to see him again. No cubs tonight, but I'm sure I'll be in luck soon 😀

  13. Sweet shot  seems to be an unusually cooperative subject!

  14. Thanks Brenda! They know nothing else at that age, but it will get wily soon enough.

  15. Awww… three times! So-so-so nice Foxy :flirt: How old is s/he supposed to be?

  16. I'm not quite sure when the cubs were born, but I would guess that it's about 6 weeks old.
