There's likely to be a slight change of emphasis for the blog over the coming months, as I'm now working in London which means lazy mornings on the Downs are temporarily on hold. On the other hand, London has its own attractions and I'm working 5 minutes from Regent's Park. This means lots of these:

And even more of these…

The park of course has other attractions, including these giant eggs (part of an exhbition of sculpture).

And this balloon emerging from deep among the trees.

I'll still be keeping an eye on the garden (we had a badger visit last night, and the large dog fox once again), and of course there will be regular pictures of Cheeky.

  1. Squirrel holding the apple 😆

  2. Those squirrels look bigger than European red ones :left:

  3. Darko, they are indeed a bit bigger than the European red squirrel, but they are now all we have in the south of the country. There are some reds in the north, but they are under threat.

  4. Andy, voracious little things, nothing wasted.

  5. We don`t have them yet. But it is just a matter of time, huh? :insane:

  6. Interesting eggs! I'll have to see if any have appeared in St James'.

Squirrels! Exotic or not, London wouldn't really be the same without them!

  7. Adele, the eggs have gone. I shudder to think of the size of the beast that took them overnight!

The squirrels are great fun, so much bolder than the rural ones I'm used to.

  8. Darko, oh I hope not 🙁

Or the size of the beast that came out of them :insane:
