A day in two halves. The morning was punctuated by (brief ) torrential rain. Fortunately water birds are somewhat immune to such weather.
By lunch the rain had moved away, leaving cool sunshine and blue, autumnal skies. The cormorant put in a second appearance.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

6 Nov 2012The last two days have reminded me why I usually like autumn! If it doesn't rain from now until December, I'll be pleased.
We'll probably have a boom in the cormorant population if the climate remains like this :right:

7 Nov 2012Adele, oh gosh, some dry, clear weather would be wonderful! I don't know about a boom in cormorants, but apparently waxwings are heading our way in large numbers.
