Just a small post this evening, starting with a short sequence captured on the trail cam last night. It's picked up occasional glimpses of a badger in recent weeks, but last night I had a decent number of shots to work through. It will be interesting to see if this is a one-off, or if Brock will become a regular caller.

The second sequence was taken at sunset today. Apart from some minor lightening in the second shot (mainly to reveal some of the wider setting), I've done nothing to these apart from cropping. The sun is a long way away (90 odd million miles). The trees you can see in front of it are a little closer, about a mile from where I was taking these.

  1. Nice sunset, Words! Nice to see the badger … they're so shy … or "unsocial", as the Water Rat would say.

  2. Nice to see that badger is still around

  3. Pretty sunset – and that's quite a solid-looking badger. I haven't seen any of its Canadian cousins so far this week.

  4. They're down here, playing basketball, Adele.

  5. Darko, thanks.

  6. dW, badgers are indeed very shy. I have had one or two direct encounters, but obviously they are always very brief. Wonderful moments though! They are such beautiful creatures.

  7. Adele, the badger does look very healthy. The sunset was not 'spectacular' but the trees added something.

  8. Wonderful sunset pictures, again :hat:

  9. Thanks Sami!
