I pass Sheepcote Valley every morning on the way to work. Lately it’s been quiet or murky, but today we had reasonably clear skies and a very cooperative male kestrel perched on a lamp post at the edge of the car park. So I didn’t even have to walk very far to get these.
Before getting back to the serious business of hunting.
Camera note: all photos taken with the Canon 7D Mark II and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens.

7 Jul 2016Darko, thanks. It had been a while since I’d had such a good session with a kestrel. Beautiful birds.
