A bitterly cold wind kept inside for most of the day, and even as the weather has improved to a less windy light drizzle this evening it’s not exactly weather for standing about outside. I did see a fox (the vixen) dart through the garden this evening, but she is a dab hand at evading the camera so I didn’t really stand a chance.

Instead here is some video of two of our badgers captured a few nights ago (set to music!)

To make up for the lack of recent foxes, here’s a shot taken about two years ago of a young Shutterbug with a pair of hedgehogs.

That’s the latest in my fox of the day series. The whole collection (over 2,700) can be seen here.

  1. Shutterbug certainly matured a lot, didn't he?

  2. Shutterbug and the hedgehogs – great shot! I'm seeing foxes, but not really photographable ones (i.e. usually from the train).

  3. NICE

  4. dW, they grow quickly. I had him filed as 'young male fox' so that was before he acquired his name.

  5. Adele, seeing foxes is a whole league better than I'm managing at the moment. This is beginning to look like a very quiet year indeed.

  6. Erwin, thanks!
