Today spring really did come to town (well, to country). These shots are scattered through the day…
Early morning, dunnock

Early morning, long-tailed tit

Lunchtime, wren

And a baby rabbit, lurking in the undergrowth

There was a peacock butterfly

And a small tortoiseshell

A goldfinch

And blue tits, in constant motion

There was even a squirrel

And on my way home, a pheasant in a field

  1. Beautiful set of photos Words
I work so much lately, overtime almost every day, and one morning I have discovered to my surprise that trees are green again 😆 I am sorry I missed while it was happening, all of it.

  2. Great post, great photos !

  3. Such colour! I'm glad the world isn't always brown…

  4. great selection of photos. Love the pheasant and goldfinch, and jealous of the small tortoiseshell – a great photo of a species I very rarely see

  5. Thanks Irczas!

  6. Thanks Erwin!

  7. Darko, thanks! It's crept up on us here as well, but I'm glad it's arrived.

  8. Adele, I don't mind brown too much. It's the grey skies that always bring me down.

  9. Neil, thanks. It's odd… I keep spotting the tortoiseshells hanging around with the peacock butterflies. I've seen 'pairs' several times recently.

  10. Its great that Spring is here again, especially after the cold Winter. 😀

  11. Mark, it's turning out to be an excellent Spring. I hope it lasts!
