Today spring really did come to town (well, to country). These shots are scattered through the day…
Early morning, dunnock
Early morning, long-tailed tit
Lunchtime, wren
And a baby rabbit, lurking in the undergrowth
There was a peacock butterfly
And a small tortoiseshell
A goldfinch
And blue tits, in constant motion
There was even a squirrel
And on my way home, a pheasant in a field
Camera note: all shots taken with the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens.

9 Apr 2010Beautiful set of photos Words
I work so much lately, overtime almost every day, and one morning I have discovered to my surprise that trees are green again 😆 I am sorry I missed while it was happening, all of it.

10 Apr 2010great selection of photos. Love the pheasant and goldfinch, and jealous of the small tortoiseshell – a great photo of a species I very rarely see

11 Apr 2010Adele, I don't mind brown too much. It's the grey skies that always bring me down.

11 Apr 2010Neil, thanks. It's odd… I keep spotting the tortoiseshells hanging around with the peacock butterflies. I've seen 'pairs' several times recently.
