Of all the young foxes we have visiting, there is one who stands out. We’ve called him Black Tail, after his magnificent dark brush. He’s a tall young fox, and very elegant. He’s also well-behaved and quite bold. I suspect he may be developing a wider range than the other foxes as he frequently disappears down the side of the house, rather than retreating to the rear of the garden.
Camera note: daylight photos taken with the Canon 7D Mark II and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens. Fight-night taken with the EF 100mm f/2.8L macro IS USM lens.

17 Aug 2017Looks very “athletic” for a fox, no wonder he is a dominant one in a group 🙂

11 Sep 2017Just catching up! Yes, he was definitely boss, but also the first the disappear as autumn arrives. Odd, but I guess he will be more confident about taking new territory.
