The real shock of this post is that there was any sunshine, what with this being the start of a Bank Holiday weekend. The usual scenario would be rain, wind and a touch of sleet. But somehow the weather sorted itself out, and while the temperature could notch up a few degrees we enjoyed a dry, sunny day with the promise of more to come.

We spent most of the afternoon gardening (shrub pruning, pond clearing, grass cutting). The treat came at the end of the day, as the low sun was beginning to cast shadows over parts of the garden. One of the fox cubs appeared. They have been venturing out during the day (the trail cam has provided evidence of that), but this was the first daylight 'encounter' of the year. Fair to say, we both enjoyed ourselves.

  2. So very cute 😀

But I agree that something is seriously wrong with the weather. Sunshine on bank holidays is quite alarming.

  3. 😀 It is so adorable 😀

  4. Adele, it's a bit of a cute overload with the cubs, but I won't complain! It looks like we'll have a good weekend this week as well. The weather is really being most un-British!

  5. Darko, thanks! 😀

  6. dW, thanks! I have plans to do more work in the garden this weekend 😀
