Fulmars at Rottingdean

A cold but bright day, with just too strong a breeze to make being outside really enjoyable. Not that this bothers the fulmars at Rottingdean. Just a couple of shots from this afternoon.

Note the starling on the left. A large number inhabit the cliffs alongside the fulmars, jackdaws and pigeons.

Meanwhile, the badgers are clearly shaking themselves out of their winter sloth and are becoming more frequent visitors to the garden. These clips are from last night.

Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

Interesting to see the starling with the fulmar – it brings home the size of the seabird.

Adele, I get used to fulmars being small when compared with herring gulls, but in context they are actually quite a size.

Fulmars got more competition on cliffs, it seems 😀

Darko, it's like Piccadilly Circus up there at times!
