I'm being really lazy with the camera at the moment, though today's mini-heatwave (combined with keeping an eye on the tennis) may offer something of an excuse. So once again I was more or less tethered to the garden, and (surprise, surprise) took photos of fox cubs. The first two are actually from last night, but are cute (this is a cute post).

Red, sleeping

Pretty, peering through the pergola this afternoon. She was intrigued by our 'clearance' activity, as we finally made a start and trying to clear away some of the more overgrown corners of the garden.

After all that hard work watching, Pretty decided to take a well earned rest.

  1. Cute is right!
And a nice bit of tennis to go along with it.

  2. love how Red frames herself for you 🙂

my children and I saw a fox the other day! we were so excited 😀 it is a rare spotting for us.

  3. keeping an eye on the tennis

Novak was not playing well but Murray was on his best. I was always saying that hiring Lendl for a trainer was his best move in a career. Now it pays back

  4. Cute, yes. But I see mischief in Red's eyes in that first photo…

  5. Adele, Red can be very playful, but he picks that spot every night. None of the other cubs go near it!

  6. Jill, she's gone behind the pergola before, but I was slightly better prepared this time. Congrats on your children seeing a fox.

  7. Darko, yes Lendl has made a huge difference to Murray. He needed someone who could instil that last ingredient of utter determination in him.

  8. dW, thanks!

  9. He taught him to fight for every ball despite the result. This is what Novak usually do
