Just a few shots of a little egret…

On a grassy mound…

In a tree…

And on the wing…

Plus a photo of Shutterbug out in the rain this evening. He seems to have been in a minor scrap judging from the state of his nose.

  1. Lovely egret shots, Words!
Shutterbug looks a little "down", but that could be the rain, as much as anything. The wounds, if that's what they are don't seem worthy of notice … he could have got worse in a bramble bush, or (considering the weather) they might be just dirt.

  2. Beautiful egret, and if Shutterbug is wearied by the weather, I cannot say I blame him.

  3. such beautiful shots. egrets are always exciting to spot for me. elegant and that white… wow.

  4. Beautiful egret shots, especially second and third one

  5. Adele, thanks! I think that's probably the best egret sequence I've managed. It looked so elegant perched on the fine branches like that.

  6. dW, glad you like the egret. And I can let you into a secret as to why Shutterbug looks down. It ain't Shutterbug. It's Shy Boy! Terrbile i.d. error on my part, but the young fox is putting on weight and the thicker coat caught me out (badly).

  7. Jill, thanks. I was really pleased with that set of images.

  8. Darko, thanks! I was very happy with those two shots in particular.
