Just a few shots of a little egret…
On a grassy mound…
In a tree…
And on the wing…
Plus a photo of Shutterbug out in the rain this evening. He seems to have been in a minor scrap judging from the state of his nose.
Camera note: egret shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens. Fox photographed with the EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens.

6 Oct 2012Lovely egret shots, Words!
Shutterbug looks a little "down", but that could be the rain, as much as anything. The wounds, if that's what they are don't seem worthy of notice … he could have got worse in a bramble bush, or (considering the weather) they might be just dirt.

6 Oct 2012Beautiful egret, and if Shutterbug is wearied by the weather, I cannot say I blame him.

8 Oct 2012Adele, thanks! I think that's probably the best egret sequence I've managed. It looked so elegant perched on the fine branches like that.

8 Oct 2012dW, glad you like the egret. And I can let you into a secret as to why Shutterbug looks down. It ain't Shutterbug. It's Shy Boy! Terrbile i.d. error on my part, but the young fox is putting on weight and the thicker coat caught me out (badly).
