Just a small selection tonight, but they're good'uns. All taken before work this morning, and exactly the type of shot I've been after. There was even a bit of sunshine to help the shutter speed along.

First some swallows. A nice sedate one to start.

Now a couple of flight shots.

The swallows were gathering mud, which means they're preparing for second broods (they can have as many as three in a season). As were the house martins. All of them were coming down to the same part of the muddy fringe of the pond.

The final shot is my favourite. An argument over some mud… as if they really have to worry about it being in short supply!
