Just a couple of photos this evening. It's been quiet in the garden and apart from the inevitable snails the only worthy subject proved to be this newt out hunting among the pond-side plants.

As for the foxes, this is an extremely barren period for photographs. The trailcam is, however, proving an able substitute and here (as promised) are a couple of clips from Saturday night. First the vixen and a cub, followed by two adults (the vixen and – I think – Shutterbug).

  1. I like how their eyes glow in the dark :eyes: 😀

  2. Darko, that's a good effect and can be really spooky at times! :alien:

  3. Great shots of the newt! I'd like to see a salamander over here but that's nearly mission impossible!

  4. Adele, good luck with the salamander hunt. Needles and haystacks come to mind :sherlock:
