Wow! What a collection! All wonderful, but the kestrel is fantastic!

May I ask, do your dogfoxes ever attack vixens? The Old Dogfox here got another brawl with one of the females tonight. I thought fighting was traditionally most fierce between individuals of the same gender (not that he tolerates other males either…)

Mark – I love the stretch photo. The Bluetits are slightly behind the branch which messed up the focus slightly, but it's far and away the best bluetit flight shot I've managed. Those little birds are soooo fast.

Adele – I got about 30 shots of the kestrel. Not that it was doing much. More or less just sitting there and then hopping down into the field. Great to watch though. I've not seen any adult fox fights, but I think the territorial mix here is different. You get a lot of adults and have way more cover by the look of things. It's tricky for them to lurk in our garden so it tends to be more part of the nightly highway than a place to set down roots and fight over.

Love the kestrels too. And of course the foxes, oh I just love all these photos. Looking at those foxes and thinking of my cat up on the roof, I can only think about how cat-like foxes seem to be. At least it looks like that to me.

    San

You're spot on. There's often a local cat sleeping up on that roof!
