We had some seasonaly good weather today (cold, still, with some sun). There wasn't too much to see in terms of wildlife, but the views more than made up for that.

This is the sun rising above the Downs.

While to the west the moon was still wide awake 😉

And these are the ducks!

By lunchtime the light had changed again and I headed out to the local fields. These shots give a general sense of the landscape around here, all of which sits within the South Downs National Park.

There were animals of course. I saw a kestrel, and a pheasant; but the farm animals proved easier subjects. This goat was at the edge of one of the fields looking into the woodland.

And this was taken through a tangled hedge. getting a clear line wasn't easy.

  1. Nice :hat: Especially the path in the forest shot 🙂

  2. Suddenly I'm startled to see a goat in a field, as opposed to ambling down a city street avoiding cars and cows. But great shots. The forest path looks like a pleasant place for a stroll.

That sheep looks warm and cozy.

  3. wonderful places and the sheep looks so adorable. :star:

  4. According to photos, it looks like summer 😀

  5. Adele, I guess it must be a bit of a culture shock for you,. I suspect these goats wander around a fair bit. There were large gaps in the fencing so I imagine they'd strolled through the wood from the neighbouring farm. The sheep does look warm!

  6. Darko, it may look like it, and if we get more rain it may even feel like it! :p

  7. Rosh, thanks!

  8. Sami, thanks! I must find time to explore that woodland path a bit further. I'm not sure where it goes, but it looked interesting.
