Just to let you know that I spotted the vixen in the garden about 30 mins ago, sitting on the lawn. I opened the back door and she moved further back, but didn't scarper. When I went up to put a Markie in the garden, she hot-footed it over the back fence, so I left the Markie on the central slabs near the pergola and came back indoors. Two minutes later, I see her on her hind legs at the back, peeping into the garden. She came back in, but walked straight past the Markie (I don't think she saw it). Anyway, she then sat in the weedy bit where the greenhouse used to be, staring at the back door. I went out with another Markie, but again, as soon as I hit the steps, she scarpered. I left the second Markie on the path and came back in. A minute later, she's back on her hind legs, peeping, and back into our garden again. She lay down for awhile in the vegetable patch bit, keeping an eye on the back door, and then wandered off again. As far as I know, she hasn't found the Markies yet, but I'm sure she will later! One thing's for sure, she's definitely getting bolder!! 🙂

And a short follow-up at 12:39

Just seen that she's back! She was sitting on the vegetable bit again, looking at the back door. I went out there and she zoomed off, but I saw that the Markies had gone. Have left another couple out there, plus some sultanas, so I bet she's back in no time! 😉

Meanwhile the dog fox is obviously getting worried about his cache of food being found. Spotted him burying food in the leaf mould bin tonight. He hops in via the compost bin behind it, over the chicken wire and down into the centre of the heap.
