Hm, foxes that don't mind the rain. Perhaps growing up in a spring like this will result in a generation with atypically rain-stoical behaviour!

I am wondering… do they smell like a wet dog? 😆

I don't know about Words' South Downs foxes, but my local ones smell like wet foxes! You've probably smelt them quite often. It's like a skunk but much milder 😉

Don't remind me! The damn skunks used to get into fights right underneath my bedroom window, and I was at ground level. It wasn't the screeching and spitting that bothered me, but the smell was so strong it would wake me up out of a sound sleep, and by that time it was too late to close the window.
When I was in the dorms in school, one of the lads decided that it would be really cool to have a pet fox … a NYC boy, never been in the country in his life … and I suppose he thought he was getting a really cool dog. Well, it had to be kept in a cage, 'cause it most assuredly WASN'T a dog, and after a week, the odor drew the attention of the authorities. The fox wound up spending the rest of his life in the Lincoln Park Zoo, in Chicago.

dW, foxes can leave a strong scent, but I guess nothing gets close to skunk.

Adele, at least we've not had as much rain as last year. Far from a perfect summer, but just about ok. More rain tomorrow though 🙁
