Crows

Continuing the monochrome part of yesterday's theme (though by accident, not design), the focus today fell on the corvids. It started with this grouping of five magpies early this morning, but then rapidly moved on the the most familiar of the family: the crow.

Two other shots to close with. First a juvenile herring gull gathering nest material.

Next, a squirrel scampering through the trees. One day I'll catch the 'leap' as they move from one tree to the next. Branch running was the best I could
manage today.

Tomorrow's post should be interesting. :sherlock:

Excellent detail! And I'm glad to see that the sun is shining in England.

I'd like to catch a squirrel mid-leap as well, but neither I nor my camera have reactions quite that fast!

Adele, I just missed this one, but one day… I need to find some time and watch one of their regular runs.

Darko, the magpies are great at the moment. It must be mating season.
