It was windy again today. The sea at Rottingdean excels in such conditions.

A lone cormorant flashed across the water…

And I saw the first of the season's fulmars.

They've returned to over-winter on the cliffs.

  2. Not any more! Thanks.

  3. Wow i bet you had to run for cover in the second shot :yikes: I wanted to catch the sunset yesterday but the cloud came over at the wrong time awww, but caught some nice big waves though. Plenty more sunset opportunities though, just wish the weather would calm down its Winter already lol!

  4. You're welcome.

You guys make me want to live closer to the ocean.
I did get out to Halifax last February, and got some lovely shots of the city.

If you ever visit Canada, don't pass up visiting Halifax!

Refreshing posts for a resident of landlocked and currently frozen Colorado. Great shots of the Fulmars.

  6. Great to see the fulmurs back! That last shot is beautiful.

  7. Amazing waves! Beautiful fulmars!

  8. Lois, thanks!

  9. Dave, thanks!

  10. Mark, yes we had to do a fair bit of dodging the waves. I don't mind the wind at this time of year, but I wish it would stop raining.

  11. Adele, thanks!

  12. Oh nice photos. I wondered whenther to try rottingdean on the way back from Portsmouth this week, but went to Pulborough Brooks instead. I missed the fulmars but got 3 new species instead 🙂

  13. Pulborough Brooks is always worth a visit. The fulmars aren't settled yet (none around this weekend) so you picked well.

  14. Thanks Erwin!

  15. Great Pict of the fulmurs
