Just a short post tonight. The first two shots were taken this morning just outside Eastbourne. It's a fair sized flock of swifts high over water at Seven Sisters Country Park.

That was the high. This is the low (as in 'ground level'). Yes, it's raining again!

  1. "Raining or not, where are my peanuts?"

    😀

  2.

  3. Darko, they soon stop worrying about the rain. It's better than last year though. We are enjoying some dry days. Honestly!

  4. dW, thanks!

  5. That's a fair number of swifts. I'm usually distracted by the sandwich-demanding gulls when I'm in Eastbourne. Two of my colleagues actually had food snatched out of their hand recently!

  6. Swifts always remind me of fighter aircraft … they are real natural ærial acrobats.

  7. dW, the swifts are extraordinary in flight. It's no surprise that aircraft designers still try to figure out their wing shape/movement.

  8. Adele, herring gulls do like a stolen sandwich! I always take care not to eat around them.
