Another dismal day of rain, mist and wind. The forecasts suggest that we may finally be at the end of it and that we may even see some fairly dry days and a bit of sunshine. It can't come too soon for me. I'm sure most of the wildlife would agree. I saw this squirrel this morning, trying its best to ignore the sodden conditions.

Later on this rabbit enjoyed the briefest of spells without rain or mist. It lasted less than 20 minutes before the rain returned.

By early evening it was gloomy and misty again, with touches of rain (though thankfully not quite the downpours of yesterday). Shutterbug is, nonetheless, a very wet fox right now.

  1. The wildlife certainly does look rain-sleeked.

We've got 10 days of sunshine and temperatures of 29c forecast here :right:

  2. I hope you noticed, Words, that the weather has brought you a gift: Just look at the depth and richness of the colours in these shots … especially the squirrel. The sun has a tendency to run the contrast up, and burn out the highlights, whereas this flat, even light allows the colours to really show.

  3. Adele, that might almost be too hot for me, but I'm mighty sick of our weather at the moment. A cool 15c and no rain would suffice!

  4. dW, it's but a small gift which become less and less welcome the longer it lasts. I agree that if it's too harsh, the sun can be a problem but a light covering of white cloud and some warm air suits me fine. 🙂

  5. Yes, it's nice to have a bit of shadow.

  6. Hopefully he has a dry place to sleep :insane:

  7. Darko, I imagine he's got several places he can go to keep dry. He's a wily fox.

  8. Erwin, thanks!

  9. The last shot is just

  10. Sami, thanks! I liked it.

  11. A Nice Post
