After the brief spell of sunshine, the rain returned with a vengeance today, accompanied by an icy wind. But never let it be said that I'm not intrepid! (I'm not, but never say it 😉 ) and I did stretch my legs at lunchtime, though not beyond the entrance to the park. Several squirrels (what else) were busy feeding up for winter, and as curious (or hopeful for food) as ever. I disappointed them, but still got the shot.

Meanwhile, the rest of the park was almost deserted. It's usually crowded with tourists and workers, but not today.

  3. It is nice to walk on an empty park, I like it 😀

  4. Robin, I think you're right. They are unbelievably comfortable around people.

  5. Darko, it can be beautiful when it's quiet… but it's only quiet there when it's raining 🙁

  6. Rania, they do semi-hibernate but not for a little while yet. They are still storing food for the winter.

  7. The squirrels must hate the rain – they have to go and look for food as if they were, I don't know, wildlife or something :right:

It's been an awful week. Here's hoping for a few days of sunshine!

  8. Adele, I know what you mean about the squirrels. Mind you, they were back with a vengeance on Friday.

Please some sunshine next week (or even tomorrow… today is already a write-off weather wise)! And trains that run on time.
