I received the following email while I was at work yesterday…

Just to let you know that the dog fox and the vixen were both lazing around together in our garden today. Both acting very much as a 'pair'. After about an hour, the vixen wandered towards the bungalow (standing on the aubrietia, the highest point before the retaining wall drops, where the dog fox sometimes stands), and stared into the (closed) back door. She knew I was there, because I moved my head, but she didn't seem that bothered. She then walked down the steps and wandered out through the side. All at a very leisured pace! πŸ™‚ The dog fox is still in the garden, snoozing on the 'vegetable patch' bit. πŸ™‚ I reckon you could get some good snaps this winter of the pair of them. πŸ™‚ When you see them together, you can tell that the dog fox is definitely bigger. His brush is so much better than hers though. He looks so healthy, he looks like a groomed domestic dog!

So maybe I will get some pictures of the elusive one. And as for the dog fox looking "like a groomed domestic dog", decide for yourself!

wellgroomed
