Here's where!
No fox tonight, but I still managed to spot this little chap while I was rooting around looking at slugs and snails.

26 Apr 2007You must've been told this before, but looking at your blog is like reading Beatrix Potter! Lovely stuff again, even the hateful snail! Where have all the flowers gone, indeed. Just wait til I get my hands on some diatomaceous earth! 🙂

26 Apr 2007Wow! Splendid shots of the slug and snail (guess it rained tonight in the South Downs too?) and great picture of the mouse. I've been hoping to get a photo of one for a while to no avail.

27 Apr 2007Lynn, you had me checking the dictionary. These are well established and will survive (I hope). But keeping them off seedlings is quite another matter.
Adele, rain all day today (and last night). I'd been wondering when I'd see a wood mouse. I only spotted it because I was searching for snails and slugs.

27 Apr 2007Lovelly slug shot there:) They look nice but i wish they would leave my seedlings alone! lol:P I use slug pellets to keep them at bay, also a good technique is to half squish them and put them on the bird table and then watch the birds eat them;)
